EFT - Emotional Freedom


EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is an exciting technique, developed by Gary Craig, that has the potential to revolutionize Psychotherapy and self-healing. Brenda finds EFT to be the “missing piece” that makes psychotherapy sessions with her clients extremely effective, and provides long-lasting benefits. EFT is based on the belief that negative emotions are the result of disruptions in the energy system of the body. Over time, we receive many disruptions to our body’s energy system in the form of “energy zaps” which occur when we internalize perceived negative statements, thoughts, or actions. These negative “zaps” stay in our memory and contribute to the formation of our core belief systems. The tapping process in EFT effectively changes old beliefs and patterns, resulting in more positive outcomes. Negative energy is tapped away, and the body’s energy system is re-balanced. By neutralizing negative emotions and balancing the body’s energy, the mind-body-spirit connection is restored and holistic healing occurs.

The Emotional Freedom Technique - EFT is sometimes called
"EFT Tapping Therapy" or "Meridian Tapping Techniques (MTT)" works like emotional acupressure to quickly, gently and easily release the negative emotions and beliefs that are at the root of all our problems and pain.
EFT heals emotional problems by literally undoing the damage from the past.


After working through an issue using EFT, you come out feeling different and you actually are different. Your gut is no longer telling you to behave in the old unhealthy ways. New behaviors are now natural because there is no internal struggle–you have changed inside and are a different person around this issue. The struggle is over.


EFT is 5 to 10 to 20 times faster than other methods.
EFT has been known to only take weeks to months to get relief and experience deep healing, instead of months to years (or never) with traditional psychotherapy.

Rate problem on a scale of 1 to 10

 SET UP

Tap 3x on Karate chop point and say, “Even though I __________, I completely love and accept myself.”  Or you can say, “Even though ____________, I can choose to __________.”

 SEQUENCE  

Tap on inner eyebrow, outer eye, under eye, under nose, under chin, on collarbone (sore spot—1” down and 1” over along collarbone), under arm (about 4’’down),  karate chop point, , on wrist, on gamut point (on top of hand, between pinky and ring finger 1/2”down), on crown of head.

RE-EVALUATE INTENSITY OF PROBLEM
REPEAT AS NEEDED


 “Even though I have this remaining ___________, I completely love and accept myself.”  Don’t be afraid to repeat the sequence a number of times.
